About Bella Fantasique
Bella Fantasique was created in the summer of 2009 by myself, Missy Lavecchia. It is a formal, evening and cocktail dress shop located in the Gallery of Shops in Shengri La. The name “Bella Fantatsique” is French for “beautiful fantasy”, and so I have created Bella Fantasique as my label for gowns that I hope to be beautiful and mystical. I am someone who thinks the world would be a better place if everyone wore big gorgeous ball gowns every day. Every girl deserves to look and feel beautiful in a sparkling dress, whether it is for a fancy dinner, a date night… whatever the occasion. Bella Fantasique is my mix of flirty dresses, flowing gowns, hidden fantasies, sparkles and a pinch of sugar…;)
The Classic Sparkle collection I have produced this summer uses a combination of sparkles, smooth satin and icy bright tones. I was inclined to produce classic and timeless styles and incorporate signature prim work and glitter for my first collection. I am sending four dresses down the runway for Fluid.
The first dress is called Midnight Twinkle. Insipred by a clear night sky, Midnight Twinkle is a strapless 50′s style dress using stars and deep jewel colors. It is done in Midnight blue, with white stars twinkling against the rich blue. It features a strapless bodice with notched neckline with small white sparkles. The back is open except for the center which ties into a bow. A full poof skirt ends just below the knee for a cute 50′s feel. Midnight Twinkle comes in 4 other colors: Sangria, Deep Teal, Bronze and Grape.
Icy Blue Diamonds is the second dress to be shown on the runway. It is actually a dress that I have made myself in real life. It is a mermaid style dress done in a fluid sparkle satin. The front halter is done in glittering silver sequins and criss crosses in the back. A diamond brooch in the matching color of the dress completes the look. Diamonds is available in 4 other colors: Pink, White, Lilac and Mint.
Serissa is the third dress, done in Deep Teal. Serissa is actually the mermaid version of the finale dress, Midnight Sparkle. Layers of sequined tulle create a cascading effect on the fuller mermaid skirt, with an underlayer of pure satin. The bodice is a sweetheart neckline lined with more of the white rhinestones and sparkles. The back is completely open and falls into a deep V, also lined with my signature sparkles. Serissa is also available in 6 other colors: Sangria, Aqua, Crimson, Grape, Lemon Lime and Noir.
The finale of Fluid is called Midnight Sparkle, and is shown in Ice. It is a full ball gown with layers and layers of sparkle tulle. Each layer is lined with perfect edging of rhinestones and white sparkles. The bodice is lined with the same white sparkles around the sweetheart neckline and down the back’s deep V. An empire waist is also adorned with the same white sparkles with a small drop of sparkles cascading down the center front. Midnight Sparkle is available in 5 other colors: Midnight, Noir, Pink, Mint and Moonlight.
