It’s “Midnight Missy” as I have recently been nicknamed…

Well we have started the week off at SL7B with an installation in Enigma. Fashion Research Institute, Inc.  has recreated a piece of the new Shengri La Marketplace, showcasing an array of emerging designers. Not only will you be seeing a sneek peek of my ”White Queen Collection” of swimwear (also here on Michele Hyacinth’s blog),  you will also see regal gowns by the oh-so-stunning Debutante line by Shenlei. Also accenting the swimwear and gowns are the sophisticated styles of jewelry by Ecletica and Cocoon. In addition to showcasing our designers, we also have information posted on Fashion Design Education, avatar apparel design courses, and information on Shenlei Winkler (Shenlei Flasheart in Second Life ) and Fashion Research Institute, Inc.

We have fabulous models showcasing the swimsuits, classic gowns and beautiful jewelry, and so I look forward to seeing you there!

It’s me, Missy. I am pleased to announce that I have a new collection that I am presenting this summer, titled White Queen. The White Queen collection is  a summer collection of swimwear for the sophisticated, yet sexy lady who wants to look oh so chic on the beach or the yacht.

Here is just a small taste of what to see from the White Queen Collection:

 

I was COMPLETELY inspired by the White Queen in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. I pulled colors from the queen herself, using of course diamond white as the main color since she is, after all, the Queen of Diamonds <3. I also used gold and silver as the main accent colors, and also colors from those gorgeous pink trees and the glorious castle.

  The first two swimsuits that I have created are one piece swimsuits. The first one, Alison, features a white top and bottom with a sheer center, covered in sparkling rhinestones.

The second of the two is named Aryana. It has a white shell neckline with a keyhole bodice. The swimsuit features a corset like center of the swimsuit with strips wrapping around the body.

 

Both of these are available in white, on XstreetSL. I will also be doing these in other colors too! Watch for them!!

Well Runway 3.0 was definitely an experience! I thought the show went very well, and I look forward to next year creating a senior collection!

Runway 3.0 theme: TECHNOLOGY: PROGRESSION/OBSESSION

For my mini-collection, Starlit Temptation, I created three garments. My concept was to take the oh-so-classic little black dress and incorporate technology within the garments themselves. Using LED Floratlytes, white and pink fiber optic Glowbys, black and white hotfix glass crystals and pink and white Angelina roses, I was able to light up each of the dresses and make them really sparkle and shine.

In addition to using physical technology in the garments, I also made my collection virtually using the Second Life platform. Each of my garments were fully created to match each of the real life garments with every last detail. Each done in black of course, however, I will be expanding those colors and styles to develop a full collection in Second Life to sell very soon. Shenlei (of Fashion Research Institute, Inc.) created an exact replica of the Pierce Arrow Building, the place that the real life runway show would be taking place. The virtual model bots in the virtual world strutted their stuff down the runway and looked amazing. During the real life show, I used the 20 foot tall video screen to showcase my virtual collection, having each virtual model walk and pose down simultaneously behind the real life model.

I would like to announce the Runway 3.0 Fashion Show! It is this year’s Buffalo State runway show, featuring students’ designs capturing the theme of Fashion & Technology: Progession/Obsession.

Our first review was last Thursday & I was so nervous!! But everyone had awesome garments that they were showing!

I will be showing three dresses. They are done in a luxurious black knit. The first dress is a dropped waist flirty dress with a single ruffle skirt. The dropped waist is lined with sparkling white rhinestones. A cluster of shimmering flowers glow in the light too. The second dress is a deep v-neck halter dress with a black crystal encrusted empire waist. The skirt has 3 ruffles that shake with every step! The third dress is a mini tube dress with an asymmetrical single shoulder strap. The side of the dress has a ruched panel with a “laced” pattern done in white and black diamond crystals.

Let me start from the beginning. As some of you may have noticed, my store is no longer available in the Shengri La Marketplace on Hope. I just found this out last night..lol. It will be moving to a new location, and I will have a landmark up as soon as the store is ready to go. Everything is still available for purchase on Xstreetsl.com.

I will be also participating in my school’s RL fashion show, Runway 3.0. There, I will be making 3 RL creations, as well as having those same creations available in SL. It should be really awesome!

Anywho. I will be super busy creating lots of new things! So keep checkin back!!

Harlequin is my newest creation. I wore it at the Jewels of Winter fashion installation. It is a HUGE ballgown that flows and glides softly with every step. It’s rich black velvet bodice is adorned with shiny colored or clear crystals in a checkered pattern. These same crystals flow down the sheer black layers of the gown. An asymmetrical corset ties it all together with matching satin ribbon. You’ll be the center of attention at any masquerade ball. Harlequin is available currently in 7 colors (gown/jewels): Black/Ruby, Black/Diamond, Black/Black Diamond, Black/Sapphire, Black/Sapphire/Amethyst, Black/Autumn(diamond, gold, rubies and amethyst), Black/Gold.

AND DON’T FORGET…. BELLA FANTASIQUE HAS MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION.

Thank you so much for being there and for your support! I am so thrilled about the success of this show. A big big thank you to Shenlei – she has given me the opportunity to do this, and has created the most beautiful winter wonderland set for these gowns! The ladies look absolutely stunning, and the gentlemen looked so handsome! I’m very happy and thankful that I have been given the opportunity to show off these ballgowns for the holiday season. And I hope you loved the dresses! Look gorgeous!
